A webinar is an online seminar that focuses on a specific topic that is both relevant and current for early years providers.
Here you can get free access to monthly SMARTpd webinars hosted by our own early years experts.
Participants are able to view a ‘live’ presentation and have the opportunity to submit questions and contribute to discussion. Each webinar then remains available via our You Tube channel.
Defining an Early Years Curriculum
Wednesday 26 February 16:00-17:00
Please join us for this session, essential for anyone with oversight and delivery of provision in an early years setting. The Education Inspection Framework (EIF) places what Ofsted has termed the early year’s 'curriculum' securely at the heart of Ofsted’s inspection focus.
This webinar will help providers to consider the key elements of a curriculum, as they plan and sequence their educational programmes to meet the learning and development requirements of the EYFS.
Presented by Michael Freeston Director of Quality Improvement and Melanie Pilcher Quality and Standards Manager, this session will also discuss peer observation as a vital component of monitoring the effectiveness of the early years curriculum.
