A webinar is an online seminar that focuses on a specific topic that is both relevant and current for early years providers.
Here you can get free access to monthly SMARTpd webinars hosted by our own early years experts.
Participants are able to view a ‘live’ presentation and have the opportunity to submit questions and contribute to discussion. Each webinar then remains available via our You Tube channel.

In December 2018 Education Secretary Damien Hinds told schools to eliminate the use of all ‘single use’ plastics by 2022.
Mr Hinds referred to the leadership shown by some schools who are already ‘single use’ free, saying ‘it’s not always easy, but we all have a role to play in driving out avoidable plastic waste.
Early years practitioners also have an important role to play, leading by example and helping children to make good choices that will affect them throughout their lives. The way in which we influence their attitude towards the environment now, will have a significant and lasting impact.
A good starting point is to recognise the amount of non-recyclable waste that an early years setting generates and begin to make some small changes.
In this webinar, Michael Freeston Director of Quality Improvement and Melanie Pilcher highlight the amount of avoidable waste that just one nursery can generate, and make a positive case for doing things better.
A resource pack containing resources presented in the session and tutor notes — so the session can be repeated in settings — is also available.
All of our previous webinars are available on our YouTube channel.
Each SMARTpd webinar is accompanied by a resource pack that contains the webinar slides, facilitator notes and other resources that can be used in your team meetings or training days to provide support and improve practice.
SMARTpd resource packs are available electronically for just £15 for members and £20 for non-members.
