About us

Children doing play-doWe are managed by the Alliance, the largest voluntary sector provider of childcare in England with over 50 years experience delivering childcare and practical, professional support to early years practitioners.

Redhill Nursery offers an engaging approach to early years development and learning for very young children.

Within a safe, friendly and fun environment, children are supported by qualified, caring staff in developing a wide range of skills and interests. The children demonstrate learning, through play experiences in welcoming and inviting indoor and outdoor play areas. Our staff team are dedicated in providing enriched learning opportunities, that encourage children to explore the world around them and be curious about their environment.

Our children are encouraged to be independant learners from an early age and are supported in using their developing skills to adapt to their environment as they grow. Healthy eating is promoted throughout the setting and children share in a range of experiences alongside staff, providing opportunities for them to grow their own vegetables to use within mealtimes. Within the setting, the children have taken part in the 'Great Gardening Challenge' where they planted and grew their own mushrooms, which they then cooked alongside the practitioners to make an omlette.

At present, our children are currently in the process of growing their own tomatoes and potatoes. As our children are keen to explore changes in these, they regularly observe and monitor the growth of each with our older children regulalry discussing between themselves how they might taste, or how they can be cooked.

Our nursery plans its activities in accordance with the EYFS with a strong focus on exploratory, imaginative play. We recognise and understand the huge benefits that free flow play has on the positive development of very young children. Every child in our care is supported by a Key Person, who understands their individual needs and offers individual care and support to them and their families.

Rigorous health, safety and safeguarding policies and procedures are in place to ensure that every child is protected and feels safe and happy with us.

We currently have childcare places available across all of our age ranges. If you would like to enquire about any of our available sessions then please contact us to discuss your requirements.

Our Team

Little girlOur well qualified, committed and experienced team work hard to create a caring and enriched learning environment throughout the nursery. Our knowledgeable staff understand how difficult it can be leaving your child for the first time in an unfamiliar environment and ensure that strong links are created with all parents/carers from the start. Parents and families are supported through regular transitional visits, to ensure that quality time is spent with the children and families to the setting and relationships are formed from the first look around the nursery environment.

Each child is allocated a Key Person when they start the nursery, who will be there to support them through each step and understand their individual needs and interests. Having a Key Person helps us to ensure that families have an appointed person they can speak to about their child, who knows them best.

All staff undertake a wide variety of training both in-house and in partnership with the local authority, this ensures that we are continually keeping our knowledge and skills up to date and providing the best opportunities for the children within our care.

"Thank you to you all for taking such good care of our girls for the last three years. The time has flown by, thank you all for the hard work you do. Our girls will miss you all terribly".  Parent, July 2018

"Thank you all for your help and understanding with H this year. It has been very much appreciated". Parent, July 2018

"3 whole years have passed, how sad that we have to say goodbye. Each and every one of the staff have been amazing but i can't forget to mention just how marvellous Hannah has been. She really brought out the best in my child and supported us as a family when we needed it. Would also like to mention Sophie, even after he spent months in your room, he still talks about you and always a greeting when we pass by. As a mum, i must thank Tabatha, George, Lisa and Jenny (who started our journey) for all you have done and our little chats preparing us for transistion. 100% the best staff". Parents, July 2018

"Thank you for all for the love and support  you have given to our children over the last six years. I have always known that you love and care for them and ensure that they have lots and lots of fun! I will miss the boys coming to Redhill Nursery and i'm sure the boys will miss you all too!" Parent, July 2018

"I have used Redhill Nursery since my first born was 9 months old (now 9 years old) and have never looked back. She thrived on everything the nursery did with her and when the time came for her to go to full-time school nursery, she was more than ready to learn new things and the teachers were overwhelmed at how much she knew-all down to the caring, enthusiastic and hardworking staff at Redhill. I was so pleased with how my first child got on.

I carried on with my second and now third child, knowing they are looked after and in very good hands, which makes me relax and be able to carry on with working without any worries or stress. If it wasn't for the friendly staff at Redhill Nursery making all of my children feel happy, relaxed and welcome and knowing i can drop my child off happy and safe, i wouldn't be able to go to work stress and worry free like i do now. Well done Redhill staff and keep up the good work you all do! I (and i'm sure other parents would agree), really appreciate everything you all do as a team." Parent, February 2018
