The Early Years Alliance manifesto covers a range of issues, including funding, recruitment and retention, business rates and VAT, SEND provision, childminder funding rules and support for baby and toddler groups.
Together, these recommendations shape the Alliance’s vision for an early years sector that has the needs of all children at its heart, provides a consistent pathway of support for families during the first five years of a child’s life and, crucially, recognises and values those working in the early years as education professionals.
Wow!! Finally something that perfectly encapsulates everything that the sector is currently struggling with. Not only that but provides common sense solutions to solving them. We can only hope that politicians read it and take notice and that it’s not too late.
