Look up funding rate changes and childcare closures in your constituency
This autumn, the government will be undertaking its Comprehensive Spending Review and finalising its spending priorities for the coming years.
It is absolutely vital that urgent financial support for private and voluntary nurseries, pre-schools and childminders in England is a central part of this review. Without this, many settings may be forced to close. This risks not only reducing childcare support for parents, but also harming early educational opportunities for young children across the country.
To help illustrate why greater funding for the sector is needed, the Early Years Alliance has compiled constituency level data on funding changes over the past three years (since the introduction of the Early Years National Funding Formula, and the 30-hour funded childcare offer) and provider closures over the past five years.
To see this information, simply choose the relevant parliamentary constituency from the drop-down menu below (to reduce the need to scroll, you can click on 'Select Constituency' and then type the first letter of your constituency).
