Local support with Alliance Connect

Supporting early years practitioners is a priority for us and we do this through our national network of nine Service Hubs.

Through our Hubs we offer practitioners a wide range of services including:

  • specialist training and workshops
  • business support services
  • payslip services
  • opportunities to meet and network through our Alliance Connect events.

Alliance members get some strands of support for free and some at reduced rates.

We want to ensure you will still receive important face-to-face support and advice from us at this difficult time.

What is an Alliance Connect event?

Alliance Connect offers free online networking sessions.

We have sessions for different groups involved in the early years such as baby and toddler groups, childminders, leaders and managers or parents.

Each session provides a chance for practitioners to come together, be updated where appropriate and network and share experiences and commonality.

Special Alliance Connect online event

This is Early Years: delivering quality care and education in the 'new normal'

Wednesday 25 November 4pm - 8pm

Our new virtual event, This is Early Years: delivering quality care and education in the 'new normal' provides the latest information, guidance and practical support on how early years practitioners can provide high-quality care and education against the challenging and ever-changing backdrop of Covid-19

Alliance members will enjoy it for FREE. Group provider non-members pay £10, while childminders and baby and toddler group non-members pay just £5.

Everyone who joins the event receives a free virtual goodie bag which includes all keynote presentations and a Managing Your Ofsted Inspection online publication.

The virtual event takes place on Wednesday, 25 November from 4pm til 8pm. Join us for the whole event or for particular sessions. It really is up to you… we know how busy you are and how difficult it can be to take time out, so you are welcome to join at any time.

Let’s Talk More Committee matters

In September and October, we hosted our first ‘Let’s talk committees’ Alliance Connect event. You said you wanted more opportunities to network and discuss, to keep up to date with news from the sector, to ask questions regarding issues that are important to you as volunteers and to share ideas with other volunteers.

January is fast approaching! Join our interactive Alliance Connect networking session to discuss all things January. Together we can talk about government guidance updates, local restrictions, new children starting, sustainability and welcoming Ofsted back through the doors.

How do you provide outdoor learning whatever the weather?

Focus on Childminders

All Early Years Providers are welcome to any session that we host, but we also know that some of the challenges are different when you are working out of your own home. With this in mind, we holding a dedicated Alliance Connect event for home-based childcare. Come and join other childminding providers and share your experiences and ideas.

Childminding and Business

Childminding and business can be a balancing act. Join our Connect event to focus on achieving that balance and discuss with others the challenges this brings.
