Alliance Spotlights

Alliance Spotlights are bite-size CPD sessions that offer a unique deep-dive into key aspects of early years topics. 

Each week over the course of an hour, we will take a closer, more detailed look at specific areas of interest to you. 

If you have ever attended an early years training session and wished that you’d had the time to delve more deeply into a particular area of discussion, Alliance Spotlights are for you. 

Cost: Just £12 for Alliance Members and £24 for  non-members  

Baby Brain Development

Understanding the foundations of how children learn can really shape practice when it comes to supporting early development. The brain is amazing and the first years are crucial! Join this Spotlight to discover the physiological importance of brain development for babies.

Early Years Inspection Handbook

This session will delve into the Inspection Handbook and explore the key features and requirements for inspection.

Together we will use the handbook to look at how Ofsted inspect registered early years provision and explore the way inspectors are seeking to understand the specific impact of COVID -19 on providers.

Home Learning Environment

The home learning environment has a significant and lasting impact on children’s development. Parents/ carers are their child’s first and most enduring educators and working in partnership with them is key to ensuring children are given the best opportunity to reach their full potential.

Process Over Product

This session will shine the spotlight on process over product and explore just what that means in the early years. Join us as we look at the differences between product art and process art and how we can support children to discover the joy of doing rather than the end result.

Are you an Alliance member looking to book a member of staff?

If you have a membership with the Alliance you can book additional staff at the member rate via the EYA portal. 

To do so, you will need to make sure each individual is registered on the EYA portal and linked to your portal account.

Once they are linked, you can access member pricing for them for all future bookings.

You can view who has requested to link to your account by clicking on the 'My Linked Organisation' tab. You can approve or remove contacts from your organisation at any time.
