Following the introduction of the new experience-based route (EBR), the Early Years Alliance has launched a new service to support setting managers through the process of taking staff members who may be eligible through this route to allow them to count in Level 3 ratios.

If you are interested in using the EBR for any of your setting staff, our expert training and professional development team is on hand to help you and your staff understand and navigate this process. The support service includes:

  • an initial overview of the Level 3 EYE criteria staff need to meet 50% of to be eligible for the EBR

  • a session of up to three hours to support you in assessing your staff member against the Level 3 EYE criteria and identifying relevant evidence

  • an optional personalised training plan for your staff member

We will support your staff member through the EBR, and give you the support you need to  feel confident about the integrity of the process and that the quality of provision in your setting is being maintained throughout. More comprehensive bespoke packages of support and assessment are also available on request.
